Wordless Wednesday

Cowabunga!

John loves the Simpsons. To promote their up coming movie Fox has teamed up with 7-11 and converted 12 of their stores into Kwik-E-Marts (the convenience store in the Simpsons). I got word of this while listening to the news radio station last month and decided to surprise John by taking him to the one in LA. It was opening day so we didn't get to go in because the line was long and John had band practice. It was pretty cute, they even are selling Buzz cola (really RC cola) and Krusty-O's (a lucky charms knock off), Squishees (slurpees) as well as Homer's signature pink sprinkled donuts. Good Times!!

I'm Not Ready For It To End

I have it!!! I bought it Saturday afternoon at Costco (they always have plenty on release day and it's cheaper than anywhere else)! This weekend was busy. I just started reading it today, I know I'm behind but I promised myself I wouldn't start it until all my errands were done. This week is also jammed packed so I'll probably read it on the bus up to youth conference.

John left last Thursday night for Vegas. He was helping our friend Kirk move down to So Cal. They arrived home Saturday night around 7:30pm. I spent my time sans John working, cleaning the church, cleaning my house, preparing my lesson for YW, returning our stereo to Costco, making cookies for the Stake Pioneer day BBQ, attending the BBQ, doing laundry....

Sunday I taught the Mia Maids and Laurels (did I mention I got a new calling? I'm the Young Women's secretary) I was nervous but I think it went well. Kirk stayed the weekend with us. We had Uncle Steve and Megan over for dinner. I had a fireside and then it was Monday.

Oh Brother!

Yes I was tagged. This is better than no post right?

What were you doing ten years ago? I had just finished my freshman year of high school and was working as a life guard during the day and playing water polo every night. I was so thin/flat the life guard suits didn't fit so I had to tie the back with ribbon... nice.

What were you doing one year ago? Coming home from family beach camping, apt. hunting in Sacramento, trying to replace our totaled stratus, dealing with car insurance companies! planning a primary activity, enjoying our last little bit of time with our friends and family in Utah.

I'm sure I've lost all my readership by now. That's what happens when you stop posting (I really need to get the Internet). Where do I begin? There's so much and I even have pictures-gasp!

We spent the last week and a half doing the family reunion thing. We started out by stopping in Las Vegas and staying Kirk's hostel, man Vegas is HOT! We then made our way to St. George where we ate a Cafe Rio and went to Tuachan to see Cinderella with John's family. Thanks Mom & Dad! It was fun to see Alexis and the Davis, Mock, and Miller (minus Doug) families. Janelle now has a little bump:) The next morning we all woke up and headed for Pinto, Utah! I know you're all thinking Pinto, never heard of it. It's close to New Castle and Enterprise. Still no idea? It's about 45 min. north of St. George middle of no where country. It was fun being with John's extended family talking, eating, four-Wheeling, playing the games Sat. night, and of course the country karaoke.
